The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation is NPower Texas's lead founding sponsor. It is the Foundation's support that laid the groundwork for NPower Texas to begin. The Foundation also set forth a match grant that encourages the giving community to support NPower Texas with the Foundation matching all dollars at a ratio of $1 for every $2 donated to NPower Texas.

To date, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has committed almost $450 million to assist nonprofit organizations working in major urban communities in the United States and India.

With founding support from Microsoft, the first NPower opened its doors in Seattle in 1999.  Since then, encouraged by overwhelming demand from the sector, NPower has grown to a network of 12 affiliates in communities across the country serving more than 4,000 organizations each year.

In 2006, the world technology leader renewed its commitment to the future of the NPower Network with a $5 million national challenge grant - the largest in NPower's history.

As a part of their Rack Gives Back Program, Rackspace provides NPower Texas with financial and in-kind support, to ensure community organizations receive the technical expertise that allows them to better fulfill their missions.

Rackspace also serves as the hosting company for all 12 affiliate Web sites of the NPower Network and for many of NPower Texas's nonprofit clients.
