Ross is founder and president of Palomino Professional Services, LLC, a company dedicated to helping organizations increase business value realized from technology expenditures. He has served in many chief technology roles for a variety of leading companies including Southwest Airlines, Sprint, PageNet, the world's largest wireless messaging company, and HyPerformix Inc., a privately-held enterprise application software and services company. During his tenure at Southwest, the organization won several awards from CIO Magazine and Computerworld. Ross also spent 13 years in the consulting business with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Ross earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Oklahoma. He was initiated into Beta Gamma Sigma for his academic achievements while earning his MBA.
