NPower Texas receives $75,000 Pledge from Valero

SAN ANTONIO - NPower Texas, a nonprofit organization that provides smart, affordable technology solutions for other 501(c)(3) organizations, has received a $75,000 pledge from the Valero Energy Foundation - the charitable arm of Valero Energy Corporation.

Valero's support will jumpstart NPower Texas's delivery of services to community organizations throughout San Antonio. As North America's largest refiner, Valero is committed to taking a leadership role in all of the communities where its 22,000 employees live and work. Since the company's founding in 1980, a commitment to the community has been an integral part of its corporate culture.

Valero is NPower Texa's third corporate funder from the San Antonio community, a list that includes AT&T and Rackspace®. Headquartered in Austin, NPower Texas also has an office in Dallas that serves nonprofits in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Delivery of services to the Houston community will begin in the final months of 2008.
