Aidmatrix Acquires NPower Texas
Today, The Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. (www.aidmdatrix.org) announced its intent to acquire the assets and programming of NPower Texas, a Dallas-based nonprofit organization focused on improving nonprofits' access to technology. The deal includes the transfer of board members, staff, customers, products, revenue, assets and liabilities. It brings together two IT pioneers in Texas' history of improving the lives of their community members through technology. The expansion further solidifies Aidmatrix' ability to deliver end-to-end technology and consulting solutions for small- to mid-sized nonprofits of nearly all missions and improves the overall flow of humanitarian relief delivered in Texas. NPower Texas will continue to operate as an independent entity for several months, transitioning activities and eventually operating fully as a program under the Aidmatrix Foundation Inc., and most of Aidmatrix' Texas programming will be performed under the NPower Texas program name.
The organizations have a strong history of partnership, with Aidmatrix assisting in the launch of NPower Texas in 2007, and both organizations partnering with NPower's National Network of affiliates in a variety of ways.
"Along with the obvious operational efficiencies from supporting NPower Texas' vital programming with our nationally-recognized back-office capabilities, the combination of the Aidmatrix global technology footprint with the nimbleness of NPower Texas to care for local community organizations with quality, means together we'll be able to provide even more powerful solutions to those on the front lines of improving the lives of Texans," stated Gov. Scott McCallum, president and CEO of Aidmatrix.
Executive and Senior Management Appointments
As part of the transaction, NPower Texas board members Sean McCaffrey, Frank Brienzi, Noel Barnard, and Larry Shosid will join the The Aidmatrix Foundation board of directors. NPower Texas staff and other team members, including foundational staff CTO Amir Tabei and Web Developer Patsy Caldwell will join the Aidmatrix team to continue the development and support of the NPower partner community while working to create new offerings for the marketplace.
